I admit it. I screwed up.

Throughout my 31 years on this green planet, I've done lots of things. Some I'm proud of, and some I'm not so proud of. I've had moments of glory and moments of shame. Moments of prestige and moments of humility. All of which, have made me who I am today. If I hadn't broke the knob off one of the switches in the cockpit of the Stealth Bomber when I was eleven, I wouldn't have met some of the worlds most interesting fighter pilots. If I hadn't had sex on the Pirates of the Caribbean ride at Disneyland, I wouldn't have met the super cute security guard that was supposed to escort me out of the park (or so he told everyone else *wink, wink*). When I was learning HTML, I didn't read it from a book. I worked at it day after day, week after week, until I couldn't do it anymore and had to ask for help. If I hadn't, I wouldn't have figured out what my mistakes were.

Well readers, yesterday, I did it again. I got a message from my cousin asking if I had upgraded to the new OS for the iPhone/iTouch. Being new to these Mac "upgrades", I thought to myself, Cool. I.GOT.THIS. I plugged in my iTouch and began clicking. Wait! What? I had to back this up before trying to upgrade?

Well, needless to say, everything I had on my iTouch was gone. All my emails, all the personal notes I'd kept with important dates and numbers, court dates, everything. Ahhh! I had to start over, from the beginning. I felt just like I did when I had to redo an entire HTML page. Drat!

Does this tell me I need to start reading directions?

  1. Stop being a guy and read the directions before hand. You are the type of person that drives tech support crazy.
